Occupying the charming, romantic setting of a thousand-year-old monastery, this restaurant serves meals either in the Sala dei Papi or at tables arranged in a delightful inner courtyard. Either way, you’re in the capable hands of a young chef who hails originally from Greece. Having fallen in love with Tuscan cuisine, he serves elegantly presented dishes prepared from carefully chosen ingredients (with a focus on local producers). He also demonstrates real skill in creating balanced cuisine with a light Mediterranean touch. Make sure you try the Cantina del Castello wines which are made from the restaurant’s own grapes.
