The clean, minimalist design immediately catches the eye, as do the striking brick arches overhead. Seated at attractive solid wood tables in a pleasantly relaxed setting, diners have a clear view into the open kitchen – and they can see just how dedicated Fabian Günzel and his team are! The pared-down interior is reflected in the numerous modern and creative courses of the set menu. The wonderfully succulent charcoal-grilled Atlantic turbot is an excellent example of the emphasis placed on premium ingredients – delicately aromatic and perfectly seasoned, it is served alongside lightly sautéed New Zealand spinach, firm trout caviar and creamy warm yogurt with grated Sicilian almonds. The appealing and extensive wine list includes intriguing pairings tailored to the set menu.
